The Arena at Gwinnett Center began construction on June 26, 2001 and first opened the doors on February 16, 2003 for the Georgia Force vs. San Jose Sabercats. The Georgia Force won
that game on a last second TD by AFL great Darryl Hammond.
George Strait was the inaugural concert held on February 21, 2003.
The Gwinnett Gladiators ECHL Hockey Team first took the ice on October 24, 2003
The Arena has over 5,000 FREE parking spaces open to the public. Gwinnett County also has
a public transportation system for easy access to our campus and many of the neighboring
hotels offer complementary shuttles
• The Arena offers 32 corporate suites that are currently sold, along with two party suites and
six event level suites available for event purchase.
The Arena is partnered with Proof of the Pudding, Atlanta’s award-winning caterer, to make
every event not only memorable but irresistible. The Arena has an impressive 17 concession
stands.
