Duluth, GA – The Force announced the addition of four new players that will bulk up their offensive and defensive fronts with the signings of defensive linemen Daniel Howard and Lawon Scott and offensive linemen John Gianninoto and fullback Mykel Benson.

Howard (6’3”, 255), a former All-Big 12 player, will reunite with former Texas Tech teammate Brian Duncan, who was recently assigned to Georgia, on the defensive line and bring immediate depth to the Force pass rush. Scott (6’2”, 318) was an Honorable Mention All-SEC player as a senior at Ole Miss and was signed by the Dallas Cowboys in 2010.

Gianninoto (6’4”, 300 lbs), who played collegiately at UNLV, was in training camp with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers this summer and played in all of their preseason games before his release. Benson, from Florida A&M, played the 2011 AFL season in Milwaukee where he started 13 games and accumulated 177 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns on 77 rushing attempts.

“I am excited about the quality of these players,” said Force head coach Dean Cokinos. “All four of these guys will strengthen our team.”
