The Georgia Force enter their contest against the Kansas
City Brigade looking to improve to 3-3 before their bye week.
Georgia will host Kansas City for the first time since 2006 when they
defeated the Brigade 51-19. The Force own a 2-0 series edge over
Kansas City after the two teams were both in the Southern Division in
2006. The Brigade were relocated to the Central Division after the
New Orleans VooDoo made their return to the AFL in 2007.
Georgia is coming off their second win of the season after defeating
the Utah Blaze 70-49 in Week 5. The 70-point performance
marked a season-high for the Force for points scored. Georgia was
led by QB Chris Greisen who threw a season-high eight touchdown
passes while completing 21 of 32 passes for 248 yards. Rookie WR
Tiger Jones led all Force receivers with nine catches for 131 yards
and five touchdowns in his AFL debut. His five touchdown grabs are
the most by any player in his first AFL game since 2004. Greisen currently
ranks second in the league in touchdown passes (29) and yards
(1,559) in addition to completing 125 of 200 passes through the first
five weeks of the season. First year starter, WR Carl Morris, leads the
Force receiving corps with 39 receptions for 393 yards and eight
touchdowns this season. The Force defense is led by NT Ernest Allen
and his 13.5 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and one pass defensed.
Allen’s sack of Blaze QB Joe Germaine last week was his
40th of his career and moved him into sixth place on the AFL’s all-time
list.

close loss at the hands of the defending ArenaBowl Champion San
Jose SaberCats in Week 5. The Brigade are led by reining Co-Rookie
